Fructose in ready-made products
Fructose is used as "natural sugar" in numerous products.
Fructose tastes 2.5 times sweeter than glucose and provides more sweetness with less carbohydrates. The industry is using fructose more frequently than liquid sugar. The reason for this is that foodstuffs and their ingredients in liquid form are easier and more cost-effective as far as transportation and storage are concerned. This is also applicable to processing. As far as production is concerned, this means lower energy consumption, investment of time and thus, lower overall costs.
